2016 'A' Collection Shiraz Tempranillo
A deep crimson red with purple hues dusted, highly aromatic with lifted berries and violet petals. The palate is dense, juicy and fleshy, vibrant and textured.
The Shiraz component for this wine was fermented in a static fermenter for 8 days to extract sufficient aroma and flavor but not excessive tannins. The Tempranillo was a clonal blend of our new plantings of Pingus Tempranillo, open fermented and basket pressed to nurture the delicate tannins of the youthful parcel.
Matured separately in 30% new French oak, the wine spent 12 months on oak and was blended to create a wine of freshness and enticement.
A blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Tempranillo.
