Dark colour with crimson hues with petaled violet, white spice and bitter chocolate on the nose.  A fine palate with compote berry nuance and a delicate acid profile and a long savoury finish with tight prevalent tannins.

A cool and damp summer lead to a challenging vintage for the region. Machine harvested parcels, fermented, hand plunged and treated gently throughout the ferment, along with wild yeast fermentation, created wines of elegance and texture. The BVRC12 clone had a 10% whole bunch inclusion to produce delicate petaled fragrances and lifted white spices while the Margaret Rive clone delivered typical richness and depth of flavour. 20% new French oak maturation for 7 months allowed the wine to soften and resolve, A wine of elegance and refinement that shows depth of tannin and softness of fruit and captures the vintage in its entirety.
