A dry, warm and low yielding vintage in 2020 produced reds of power and density. Both our Shiraz blocks were machine harvested in early march, the earliest on record and fermented separately in open top fermenters.

Hand plunged and treated gently throughout the ferment, along wild yeast fermentation created wines of elegance and texture. The BVRC12 clone had a 20% whole bunch inclusion to produced delicate petalled fragrances and lifted white spices while the Margaret River clone delivered typical richness and depth of flavour. 20% new French oak maturation for 8 months allowed the wine to soften and resolve. Post maturation the parcels were blended creating a wine of intensity and power with an elegant backbone and tight but vibrant palate. Juicy and structured acid create length and vibrancy in the mouth. A wine of style and balance with power not normally seen from the estate shiraz
