Aravina Estate secures three medals at 2016 Royal Adelaide Wine Show October 05 2016

Success continues in 2016 for the growing list of medals at Aravina Estate’s vineyard with the recent announcement of the 2016 Royal Adelaide Wine Show results.

Following on from Aravina Estates success at the 2016 Royal Perth Wine Show, where the 2015 ‘A Collection’ Sauvignon Blanc Semillion took home a gold medal, the Adelaide Show has resulted in three additional trophies.

The 2014 ‘A Collection’ Shiraz Tempranillo was awarded a top gold medal for its category, 2014 Other Red Blends. A gold in this class for a Western Australian wine brand is ‘extremely rare’ in what is ‘a very competitive class and usually is dominated by South Australian wines‘ states Aravina Estate’s Chief Winemaker, Ryan Aggiss.

Both the 2013 Wildwood Ridge Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2014 Wildwood Ridge Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon took home very high Silver medals in each of their categories.

Also in recent news is the release of Aravina’s 2013 Cabernet Merlot. The wine exhibits classic Margaret River black fruit dominated by cassis and spicy French oak on the nose. Dry, with well integrated fruit and tannins and lovely ripe plum and boysenberry flavours that linger on the palate and the aroma is intense and powerful. Drink now or will age for up to five years. Available direct from the estate for a RRP of $32.
